hieronymous

venturing out of my neighborhood into north of market is out of my comfort zone now. a coworker who lives in a high rise near city hall says you shouldn't miss this neighborhood full of great old buildings. so anyway i went there to try to vote, but after the security check, i saw that the place was so crowded, i left, heading the wrong way deeper into the tenderloin. dunh da dunh.

U.N. Plaza in SF on a rainy saturday evokes visions of Hieronymous Bosch, this is one place that SF shunts its outcasts-- but just one block from tourists?
In Los Angeles, the sprawl is convenient for partitioning the homeless far from revenue streams, altho Santa Monica showcases some of its homeless on the priceless bluffs overlooking the Pacific, their lives seem idyllic in contrast to the human misery one sees near SF Civic Center.
