of ice box cookies and non-pareils

She has always enjoyed cooking, from childhood, wanting to cook, certainly more so than I, she liked creating edibles.
Our first attempt at icebox, rolled, cutout cookies was a huge success. what was our secret, i couldnt remember, and was never able to duplicate the light, buttery, crisp and tender cookie. it was all all day affair, including creating the icings, green, pink, red, blue, with silver non pareils and confetti colored sprinkles. we had enough home made cookies, dozens of them to wrap up and give to church members, family, teachers, neighbors and some left for us.

I am proud of all that she has accomplished at such a young age, looking forward to her career as it unfolds during her studies in the culinary arts. And furthermore, she is a natural salesperson, who knows how to welcome people, and give great customer service. I think she could sell anything. When she worked for the blood bank she was able to get lots of people to donate blood. Now who else could do that? She is stellar, no doubt about it.
