mccain presented himself at the convention as your good father. the one that will take care of everything. the one that knows what is best. the one who has seen war and evil. the one who knows what the adult world is about. the world that you will understand when you grow up. this vague world was presented to us with musical motifs such as "corrupt union bosses", "choice in schools" (read charter schools and private schools that are available for wealthy), "drill oil now". the rosy republic is populated with starry eyed volunteers (hail elder George and his "thousand points of light".) Instead of expecting services from a government whose cupboard is bare from giving to corporations, citizens will help each other as illustrated by Cindy McCain. Volunteer for a cause bigger than yourself, McCain insisted of his audience, and don't be expecting to get nothing from this government. four more years of the past eight. Tough dad.
